New School Gets a Kick-Start

Dependable, safe and affordable child care is critical to working families. Billings Head Start (BHS) needed a new school in order to meet the needs of growing families in the area. The nonprofit was thrilled when the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services approved it for a grant for an additional building. However, grant funds were not expected to release in time for BHS to secure a location and open before the start of the school year. MoFi helped bridge the financing gap and the new school opened in August 2017, expanding from half-day to full-day programming and creating 80 new preschool slots for Billings children.
